Needs Duress, one of the best hand disrupters in the came. This will up your first turn and dark rituals much much more. And allow you to actually look at their hand (knowledge advantage) to choose a card of choice.
Mind Twist is a solid discard.
Also black has some of the best tutors in the game. I would use them.

The problem with Megrim is it's one of those cards that really works best to be built around. Otherwise it just comes in to late and/or does to little.
I have been playing with Raven's Crime lately and have been very happy with it. 3/4 Duress and 2 Raven's Crime is solid hand disruption to base off of.

Hymn of Tourach is good, but Mind Wrench is a more updated version, pretty much exact same card, just different name.
General Suggestions:
Go black and blue, discard decks are a form of control, (hand control)
Fugue -black
Soul Barrier - blue (not a discard card, but good for controling your opponents creatures.
Coercion - black
Mind Extraction - black
Maggot Carrier - good creature to sac -black
culling of the weak - good alt version of dark ritual
Mind Peel - black
Lobotomy - blackblue mix, a must have for discard decks
Cabal Interrogator - Black, a must have creature for discard decks
Bog down - black, there are better out there, but its another option
cabal inquisitor - black, good creature for hand control
Peek - blue, usefull for hand control
Unnerve - black, Great for 3+ players, good for 2 players
Death Cloud - black, magic's ultimate "Im an a**h***" card
Struggle for sanity - black
Megrim - black, an absoloute must have for discard decks!!!

Did you mean Wrench Mind? If so the card is junk in comparison and not pretty much the same. One of the keys to Hymn is the fact that the discarding is at random. Oops, there goes the card that you wanted/needed.
If you want a good card in the BB (thats two black mana) range try Smallpox.
Megrim - black, an absoloute must have for discard decks!!!
No,,, it's not. I am not going to say what a must would be, but megrim is not one of them. Mishra's Factory is even more important. If you are suggesting blue (so many possibilities) then Recoil should be on the list.

Im sorry, you are right about wrench mind, i thought the wording was different, but I was mistaken. Its not the same thing, but is still a valid card for discard decks, as far as megrim's must haveness, well it is debatable, but i really have a hard time finding good ways to do damage in discard decks, so i tend to turn to megrim.
Mishra's factory is good, but i have to disagree on it's use in a discard deck.

It's cool, I was just trying to clarify.
As for Megrim, don't get me wrong, I have a Megrim deck I play sometimes for a good laugh (just wait). I like Megrim and always wanted it to work. That is why I think it needs to be built around (focused on) to maximize it. I think it is a completely different deck than the one I was seeing you build, but thats just my perspective.
With Megrim some of the best cards you can use are Memory Jar, Wheel of Fortune, Windfall or Dragon Mage. All these card make your opponent discard cards and give them (you) more cards in hand for megrim to not be dead. Memory Jar is the best with an auto 14 to all opponents and with something like Academy Ruins you can keep going and going.
My deck runs these cards and more. It's funny because the only creature I use is Ravenous Rats with Curfew for silly, early board control while keeping there hand full of cards to throw to the graveyard. It usually gets its laughs and kicks from the ridiculous amount of times a rat comes into play.
Other note able cards that work well with the Megrim are Urza's Guilt, Cephalid Coliseum and already mentioned Recoil.
In the build posted so far (@ baldguy, whats it look like now? any new?) I would still play Mutavault or Mishra's factory over Megrim. If you need damage in black Pestilence is fantastic, I would try that one for a finisher.
stay cool,
Dr.KnowMaD
ps. if you do some research you will see that many high preforming MBC (Mono Black Control) lists and the like use either a Wasteland/Strip mine mana denial strategy or a more aggro approach and use Mishra's Factory for a lot of quick damage to cut down the turn clock, both complement the discard strategy. I am not sure how affective the mana denial would be in your situation but aggro damage is almost always good.
