I'm working on a vaguely similar deck now, but I managed to omit white. I was afraid doing creature-oriented artifacts was going to end up being a major bummer, but perhaps I am mistaken to that end. My version hinges on Master Transmuter and damage coming from either black (Onyx Goblet, Parasitic Strix, Thoughtcutter Agent, and Countersquall) or decent sized creatures (Inkwell Leviathan, Esperzoa, and Master of Etherium) I also hope to inject Platinum Angel in there as long 10th edition stays standard.
I've posted it to the main site, My Artifact Deck. (http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=15602) Maybe we can bounce some ideas off each other, as mine is completely untested. It also needs the addition of a 0-cost artifact and I'm in serious debate with myself over what that artifact should be, Ornithoper, Spellbook, or Bone Saw.

It appears as though the forum account is not tied to the front account. I had to create myself back here in forum land before I could post.
The interesting thing I'm finding out in this current expansion block is that by the time Alara Reborn comes out, there will probably be enough dual colored cards that the three colored synergies are going to be avoidable in favor of two-color combos that we all know and love.
Oh, and I played from summer 1998 through the end of 2000, then stopped playing until spring 2008. I feel your pain.

Yep....I guess later on I will figure out how to post on the main page....I get no upload option even after being registered there. :(
Yeah I played from 4th Edition to just when 8th came out (I didnt get 8th though)...and just came back at pre-Conflux (bought like 10 Shards boosters).
Just trying to figure out the new rules and remembering how to play is a challenge...but I like all of the new options since I am a strategist by nature and this game like chess keeps my skills sharp.

I got my girlfriend into playing the game during Morningtide, so that's when I picked it back up. My first run was from late 5th edition to midway through 6th. I hated the wording changes in 6th, and am just now coming to terms with the fact that the game itself hasn't changed, everything still works the same, they just word things differently.
I'm a bit freaked out by the changes coming to the core set, but this is after seeing little change to the way it was managed from Alpha all the way to 10th edition. I'm a big fan of 10th, so I fear what they're going to remove from M-10 in order to shrink it down to 249 cards.
