Hello and welcome back to Deck Tech Talk. Today we'll be looking at post-Rise of the Eldrazi Standard, what cards affected the format, what decks to keep an eye on, and some ideas moving forward. First, we'll get the elephant in the room out of the way because nobody wants to talk about it, Jund.

Dun dun dun.
Actually, Jund didn't get a whole lot out of RoE. Let's take a look at a decklist real quick.
Jund:http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=60152
Well, we've got a grand total of 2 unique cards in the maindeck and one in the board from Rise: 2 Nest Invader, 2 Sarkhan the Mad, and 3 Consuming Vapors and another Sarkhan in the board. I've heard good things about Sarkhan in the mirror, and cascading into Nest Invader seems pretty nice, but time will tell how well they do. To be honest, you could take the Jund list that won PT: San Diego a few months ago to your local PTQ and not have any trouble, as long as you tweak the sideboard for your local meta. Anyways, next deck!

Lookit all those loyalty abilities
Of course, I'm talking about U/W Control. I'm gonna give you two decklists to peruse mostly because although they're two different decks, they gained essentially the same cards from Rise.
U/W Tapout: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=60155
UWr Planeswalkers: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=60158
Well, if I didn't make it completely obvious, the two cards we got were Gideon Jura and Wall of Omens, both of which have so far proven to be amazing. UW started posting consistent Magic: Online wins the month before Rise came out. Rise has only made it stronger. The new planeswalker deck on the block decides to eschew casting ridiculous things like Mind Spring for 6 and Martial Coup for 7, instead shooting for multiple planeswalkers on the battlefield at the same time generating value. Well, there's our look at those, onto a 'new' deck archetype!

Polymorph's new, right?
Alright, before you start yelling at me for my lame sense of humor, check out this decklist.
Polymorph: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=60163
Yes, it is a silly deck. However, check out how much Rise added to it! See Beyond, Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, Awakening Zone and Deprive all in the maindeck! Polymorph actually got quite a boost from our new set, and it looks like it's itching for a top slot in the metagame. Personally? I think a lot of people just want to cheat a 15/15 into play, but can you fault them for that? It's cool.
Right, so after this we have a few more deck types I have neither pictures nor lists for, Mono-Red, Vampires, WW and Allies. Mono-red picks up Devastating Summons and Kargan Dragonmaster, as well as an assortment of burn that can go main or in the sideboard. Vampires...well, I'm not sure actually. Consuming Vapors seems like a shoe-in and Arrogant Bloodlord would fit an aggressive version, but I haven't seen any vampires lists do well. White Weenie gets the best leveler, Student of Warfare as well as some new options for removal (Oust) and a super Elephant (Transcendent Master). Allies....doesn't get anything. Of course, these aren't all the decks, just the big ones you're likely to see. There's still Open the Vaults, Crypt Combo, Ascension Combo, and the dumb Wall deck I keep trying to make into a real deck. Standard's full of options right now, so keep on playing! I'm not here to tell you what's the best deck, I'm just here to give out the facts. Thanks for reading.
