THe way I see magic these days is about combinations, Speed of use and probability to get it off quickly.

I want to see if we as a website can study good combinations and make them consistent enough for tournament play.

I personally Feel that Vintage decks are the most interesting since the goal is to make them consistently first or second turn.

Personally, I realized my favorite decks are just decks I come up with on the spot or in drafts. But seeing those consistent first turn, second turn wins are always awesome.

If you have any ideas on what we need to look into, Respond.

The way I see it is...

1) Win Combinations
2) Draw, Tutors and Mana to make sure those wins happen Quickly
3) Protection the colors allow
4) Percentages for....
-a-Number of turns to Win (% 1st, % 2nd etc)
-b-Amount Protection to prevent opponents from winning

Just Name a win Combination to start, and we'll try it from there...

I'm not saying everything I say is 100% right, But I'm just doing my best, this games interesting so I figure go all out.

Wow, it's getting really technical in this thread! I agree with everything you say, though.
What would be cool is if a website could give you the first hand of decks that people built, and also show how well they play against certain types of decks...

i agree that deck creation is part science but to actualy play the game takes a little more. when your in a hopless situation science says give up but magic requires on the spot adaptaion. so its half art half science.
