Creature Effect

I need help you, khnow the black card

When I Declare that he attack, and the opponent block i use the effect and kill the blocker monster...
but now is my question, My attack continue ?, or not ?

see that effect: "Discard one card and that creature gain one counter +1/+1"

can i discard 3 cards for example ?

if my creature was 1/1, he became 4/4 right ?
and when i attack he goes to 1/1 again ?
or i just can use 1 counter at a time ?

1. When both attackers and blockers are declared and if your Knight of Dusk does not have Trample, then it will deal no damage for it has been blocked.
2. If a cards says:
"Discard a card, put a +1/+1 counter on this and that" - you may discard all your cards and give this creature that many +1/+1 counters.
If the card has "Play this only once each turn" or the like, that means you cannot do it more than once.
3. If your creature was 1/1 and you put 3 +1/+1 counters on your creature, then he`ll remain 4/4 as long as those counters are on him. They don`t deplete, but can be removed by specific spells or abilities only.

now ikhnow that my creature i'll be 4/4 forever, until someone cast a spell that remove counter or abilities....
