I am building a deck to find out if I can bypass the Protection on Progenitus.

I heard that when you have Reaper King enchanted with Clout of the Dominus, you can bypass it with Retether to add the rest on the enchantments from Shadowmoor.

I was wondering if that would work with Progenitus.

Ok, I been researching it and found the source of info on the Reaper King (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Reaper%20King) when it is enchanted with Clout of the Dominus (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Clout%20of%20the%20Dominus). Turn out that Retether (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Retether) is the only way to put the other enchantment from the Shadowmoor block on him when he is untargetable.

Reaper King Article (http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/askwizards/0808#0820)

Therefore Retether (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Retether) can put the Shadowmoor enchantments on Progenitus (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=179496).

Making the Hydra Avatar stronger, 31/31 with Flying, Flying, Deathtouch, Double Strike, First Strike, Haste, Indestructible, Lifelink, Lifelink, Shroud, Trample, Unblockable, Vigilance, Wither, (W/R) : This creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn, All creatures able to block Progenitus do so, whenever this creature deals damage to an opponent, draw a card, and whenever this creature deals damage to an opponent, that player discards a card.

Yes, but as soon as game state is checked on Progenitus they will fall of (almost immediately) due to Progenitus's Pro enchantments.

I think it's possible to Fling in response to the check though.

sorry,
