Hello.
I consider myself to be a pretty good builder when it comes to magic decks, but sometimes (quite often actually) I make one or two minor mistakes when building a deck that causes me to loose games. So I decided that I would post a few Ideas that I had on here to gain feedback so that when Zendikar comes out, I'll have something to start with. So here are my three Ideas:
Vigilanties
Creatures:
Stoic Angel x4
Serra Angel x3
Staward of Valeron x4
Kazandu Blademaster x4
Captain of the watch x2
Kor Hookmaster x4
Spells:
Angelic Benediction x4
Sleep x4
Ajani Goldmane x1
Honor of the Pure x2
Path to Exile x4
Equipment:
Behemoth Sledge x2
Land:
Plains x 4
Island x 4
Forest x 2
Glacial Fortress x4
Sunpetal Grove x4
Terramorphic Expanse x4
Sideboard:
Silence x4
Journey to Nowhere x4
Oblivion Ring x4
Luminarch Ascension x3
The point of this deck is to have all their creatures tapped so you can swing with all your creatures, which do not tap. Not the strongest deck, but I feel that there is an idea there to be had. Sideboard needs work.
Soldiers
Creatures:
Captain of the Watch x4
Elite Vanguard x4
Veteran Swordsmith x4
Veteran Armorsmith x4
Rhonx Pikemaster x3
Kazandu Blademaster x4
Kor Hookmaster x4
Spells:
Honor of the Pure x4
Path to Exile x4
Armored Ascension x4
Land:
Plains x19
Emeria, The Sky Ruin x2
I think this deck or one like it will be very effective in standard. It needs an reliable sideboard as well. I'd like to keep it mono white, but if I do splash a color it will most likely be red.
Vampires
Creatures:
Gatekeeper of Malakir x4
Vampire Lacerator x4
Vampire Nighthawk x4
Child of the Night x4
Vampire Nocturnus x2
Bloodghast x2
Spells:
Hideous End x4
Sorin Markov x4
Sanguine Bond x4
Feast of Blood x4
Vampire's Bite x4
Land:
Swamp x20
Sideboard:
Vampire Hexmage x4
Doom Blade x4
Blade of the Bloodchief x4
Sign in Blood x3
This deck type, I'm sure, is going to be popular. I'd like to get a headstart on it before it becomes so popular it's boring. Again, the sideboard needs work, and I am not to sure about the bloodghast.
So there are a few of the ideas that I want to work on. I would much appreciate any constructive criticism that you can give. Any sort of advice will be appreciated. Also, please explain why I should add/remove a card.
