I'm putting together a treefolk deck (type 1.5) and think that it could do well against most other decks.
__________

32 Treefolks
2x Black Poplar Shaman
4x Bosk Banneret
2x Wickerbough Elder
2x Deadwood Treefolk
2x Ebony Treefolk
2x Orchard Warden
4x Treefolk Harbinger
2x Doran, the Siege Tower
2x Leaf-Crowned Elder
4x Sapling of Colfenor
2x Timber Protector
2x Unstoppable Ash
2x Woodfall Primus

12 other spells
4x Fertile Ground
4x Lignify
2x Colfenor's Urn
2x Reach of Branches

12x Forest
10x Swamp
__________

Cheap spells like Treefolk Harbinger (with whom I would get treefolks like Leaf-Crowned Elder, Doran or Timber Protector, if not in my hand yet), Bosk Banneret, Black Poplar Shaman, Ebony Treefolk and also Doran- assuming I've got Fertile Ground in play to produce the white mana I need- should allow me to either sit out the first few rounds or even start attacking myself. Plus I can make opponent creatures useless with Lignify, if necessary. As soon as I get Leaf-Crowned Elder and/or Saplings of Colfenor, I am- in addition with Doran and Timber Protector- able to throw out powerful and probably indestructible treefolks every round. Unstoppable Ash's +0/+5 ability combines perfectly with Doran as well. I can destroy one or two annoying enchantments/artifacts with Wickerbough Elder, and Colfenor's Urn can still turn the game around when I else would be losing. Woodfall Primus is, uhm.... an expensive goodie?^^

I would appreciate any feedback on this.

i didnt look closly, but do you have mana producers so that your deck can start moving quickly.

You do need some mana producers. Like the Vivid lands. They work great in Treefolk decks.

I thought over something like this too, but then I'd have to replace a few cards for it instead of just adding them. I don't want the deck to grow larger than max 70 cards, or even the Harbingers won't help much to get together the combos I need (i.e. Doran the Siege Tower, Timber Protector and/or Unstoppable Ash, Leaf-Crowned Elder and/or Sapling of Colfenor). What about like 4 Vivid Groves to have another source for white mana besides fertile ground? (Including basic lands, that would increase it to 69 or 70 cards, which would still be ok.)

I'd run 4 Doran if possible. Treefolk are at their best when they use their toughness as opposed to power. To make the chances of getting out Doran better, Murmuring Bosk is a nice land to have in the deck or you can use the Harbringer/Elder combo. If you are willing to play white, Indomitable Ancients are increadible. 2WW and you get a 2/10 (no ablilities) and that combined with Unstopable Ash creates mayhem. Unstopable Ash makes your blocked creatures get +0/+5 until end of turn and if you have that with Indomitable Ancients and Doran, you have a "10/10" that becomes a "15/15" when blocked.

Treefolk are beatuiful.

Yes, I might change it into a GBW deck indeed. When I first put together the deck and thought over adding Indomitable Ancients, I still hadn't thought it through well enough to see the meaning in them. But combined with Doran and Unstoppable Ash, that would be just sick....

Thanks for the hint! :)

hay all its been i while sense ive posted here and i just have few comments about this deck

1. it will never be 1.5(legacy) viable

2. 4 doran is a must

3. if your in white and black why not run vindicate

4. or sense your gong to be in green and black run pernicious deed

5. i kinda like the idea but cut down to 60 cards also duals and fetches are good if your going for legacy

Good luck with it

ps when will the vault be back up.

first off, you are going to want to stick with 2 colors. Splashing black is just going to be too much of pain in the ass with treefolk costing too much. I don't know all the cards offhand so I would suggest taking out some of the tree folk maybe throwing in some Llanowar elves or some Sakura Tribe elders to get your land moving. Think of this deck like you would a power 5 or greater deck and you just want to spit out creatures quick and efficiently. instead of just throwing in 4 vivd groves, take out 4 forests and put those in. Having 4 land that comes into play tapped won't kill you especially if you get one first turn then you get a Sakura tribe which would get you your needed plains or forest anyway. So there ya go

Thanks for the tips, but the problem in sticking with 2 colors (that I currently have) is that I then might not be able to always play Doran whenever I draw him. Anyway- just like Vivid Grove, I will also try to add stuff like Twilight Mire, Wooded Bastion and Murmuring Bosk. If I only already had these cards, I wouldn't have to buy or swap them. They are pretty expensive unfortunately, won't be easy getting them.
Sakura-Tribe Elders sound good, actually better than Llanowar Elves, since green mana only won't make me win. But they're not legal in standard, so I suggest Farhaven Elves, though they cost 1 mana more.

Now, after thinking it over again for some minutes, making it GW and legal:

4x Treefolk Harbinger
4x Bosk Banneret
4x Doran, the Siege Tower
4x Farhaven Elf
4x Indomitable Ancients
2x Leaf-Crowned Elder
2x Unstoppable Ash
2x Sapling of Colfenor
4x Timber Protector
--------
4x Fertile Ground
4x Lignify
2x Colfenor's Urn
--------
4x Vivid Grove
2x Murmuring Bosk
2x Twilight Mire
2x Wooded Bastion
4x Forest
6x Plains

EDIT: Suggestions on my Scarecrow deck would be nice too --> Link (http://forums.mtgvault.com/showthread.php?t=47)

Have you thought about nameless inversion and thorntooth witch for removal? it gets alot of synergy with the smaller treefolk spells so they have an effective use mid to late game.
