Hello I am new to these forums, and sort of new to magic.

I started playing when revised was out and quit at the end of about ice age. I know some things has changed and read up on a couple of changes. I want to get back into magic but don't want to keep spending the money to keep my deck up to the type 2 rules.

I am looking for a killer deck with type 1.5 rules (wouldn't mind type 1). I am getting a little bored of my deck (http://mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=30956) and looking for something new. Last time i played this deck was in 2002 so this deck might not even survive with the new cards out. I looked at mtgvault.com for ideas but it seems like everyone is making decks for type 2 (sense most tournaments use type 2).

This deck would be just playing with other friends and such, and if the deck is good and a local type 1/1.5 tournament comes around i will enter.

So if anyone could help me out making a 1/1.5 deck that would be great or point me in the right direction. I don't have any lotus and mox and don't want to spend the money getting them.

Check out deckcheck.net for a more organized database of decks. Easy to use if you don't know a lot of the newer cards because it displays them as you go over the name. Shows most of the top 16 from big events. Also has vintage, extended, standard and block.

If you're asking what's straight up the best then the answer would be whichever you're best with. Coolstuffinc's got a great search engine for cards, I use it even to look up things I just want to know about. Doesn't tell you about legality though.
