Salient

Her expression is coldly calm, acquiescent in the gravity of her task.
She protects the sacred groves from blight, drought, and the Unbeholden, and she is the last wielder of magic willing to risk her life to stand in the way of your victory. You have weathered and survived the sting of lightning bolts, the weapons of Nacatl prides, the wild bludgeoning of goblin hordes, the wild explosive tendrils of dark magic, the blinding mind-shock of grindstones, and the coordinated attack of armies of merfolk. You feel ready for anything.
But this last mage before you seems different. Coldly calm, locked in serene meditation, deep in thought. Your first attempts to solidify your defences and interrupt her train of thought are countered by a dazing blow to your skull, your strongest spells are dismissed as mere petty distractions. As a green sun rises above you, she calls to her side a dryad of the forest, preparing to ask this scion of nature to volunteer its life in sacrifice. That would be too much to ask of a dryad in simple combat, but this mage does not merely intend to defeat you: she plans to do nothing less than restore the natural order of the entire universe, and place you directly before the unforgiving judgment of the legendary Soul of the World.
Do you have the skill and resources to face down a nearly untouchable 10/10 attacker on your third turn, with fairies and missteps disrupting your gameplan? Or will you, too, fall victim to the speed and resilience of the Natural Order + Progenitus combo that dominates the Legacy metagame today?
Welcome to Tinker Target.
