There was a guy I use to play with back when I first started playing Magic named Jamie who ran a Black and Green Rock Style deck focused on Land Destruction and shutting other players down. He played about 20 Lands including 4 Wasteland, Sinkholes, Rain of Tears, Ice Storm, Smallpox, Eternal Witness... Essentially, everything killed lands or removed their hand like Hymn to Tourach and Duress. He used Birds of Paradise for acceleration. Urborg and Spreading Algae would be a good place to start for sure. I wouldnt run Blue though, White if anything or Red. Red has Raze which is awesome.

hey man i want to begin collaborating a few ideas with you, in terms of my own decks as well as maybe getting some insight together for your articles

im working on a deck idea based around green control

im thinking stuff like

stunted growth
plow under
ice storm(and other lande)
creeping mold type cards(lands or choice of creature etc.)
elves to accelerate
maybe some stuff like smokestack, tangle wire, trinisphere,
looking at splashing blue, for card draw and possibly bounce

vintage/legacy build(ill proabably make both)

Hey, I think you might have blocked me, but you should write an article about mentality during gameplay. Like how to keep a cool head if you're getting whupped... Would be very appreciated!
