Default Deck Challenge: Common

Create a deck using only common cards. This is going to be extremly difficult, so good luck. I'll be checking up every once in a while and based on how awesome the entrants are I will determine a winner. I'd also try to provide good descriptions of how your decks work if I were you. Try to keep your decks extended as well. Good Luck!

So, a pauper deck then? Or is that the correct terminology?

Anyways, perhaps I'll make a control/burn deck. Lots of good counterspells that are common these days...

Here is my contribution to this competition:

Basically play at your hearts content slashing at your opponents life points and creatures with all the red spells you got.

The Viashino creature type was an added bonus but since I could only use common cards a few of them were usable.

My entry here, I went mono black as they have a nice amount of rather cheap effective control that is common.

My entry

I decided to go for a common equipment deck, the kind that only a low level adventurer would be able to afford, but that a smart adventurerer would look for at low levels anyway.

There is mine...common burn deck.

Bunch of burn spells, sign in blood to help you draw to make sure that you can keep frying them...hope they don't have telemin.

Looks skimpy on lands but i opted for terramorphics instead of more mountains and swamps to help Zektar Shrine bust out a 7/1 with trample faster!

Alright so i've decided to close this contest and good job to all participants. I liked a lot of these decks as shown by my comments on them and for the most part I saw a lot of innovation with very little. The decks that won this contest are the Boros by UsafCowboy and the equipment deck by LordStrongpaw. In judging the decks I basically decided which decks did i feel were the strongest, fastest and showed most innovation, and then tried to see which would win against each other. The boros deck seemed extremly fast while the equipment looks strong defensively and of course once prepared, attacks. Both good and good jobs to all that participated.
